Little Angels

Little Angels are local women who have experience of breast feeding and would like to help others.  Most are volunteers, all have been trained in supporting women who are breastfeeding and are CRB checked.  the service is paid for by Wakefield Council.

If you choose to breast feed, you will be offered support by Little Angels.  A peer supporter will ring you up or visit at home to offer help and advice on breast feeding.  You can talk to your Little Angel as much or as little as you want.
Little Angel volunteers are also on the post natal ward at Pinderfields every week day so they can offer help straight away if you have your baby there.

You can contact Little Angels at any time, 24 hours a day on 01924 851 901

You can talk to Little Angels if it's your first baby or fifth, if you said you didn't want to breast feed but have changed your mind and for any issues around breast feeding no matter how old your baby is.

Little Angels also run a Families and Babies drop in shop on Brook Street in Wakefield where you can pop in for a chat or for somehwere to breast feed.  There are also lots of activities going on for pregnant women and mums.  For more informaiton, see our F.A.B page.
