Get Involved

The Maternity Services Liaison Committee (MSLC for short) is a place where people who are pregnant or have had a baby in the last 4 years, can meet together with staff from the maternity services.  This includes midwives, obstetricians breast feeding peer supporters and staff from the Clinical Commissioning Group who commission services on behalf of local people.

MSLC is a place where people who have used maternity services can say what they think about the care they and their family got.  You can also influence how services are planned and delivered in the future.

Recently we have talked about topics such as the planned changes to services at Dewsbury hospital, improvements to ‘Stork Walk’ video, and developing this website!

MSLC cannot deal with individual patient complaints, this would need to be taken up with Mid Yorkshire Hospitals Trust.
We meet 4 times a year on a Friday afternoon, 12.30 – 2.00 in Wakefield at the FAB shop.  Babies & toddlers are always welcome at meetings and there is usually a lunch available.
There is also a user group which hospital professionals don’t go to which happens in between the formal meetings.

New people are always welcome – Mums or Dads!
